The Spruce Scenes, Book IV (sold)

Monday, October 3rd 2011 - Book 129 - I must have hiked by this busted off 4x4 mud flap a dozen times on my way to Spruce, thinking "I'm sure someone will be back to pick up that trash." Finally, I gave in...and decided to make a cover of it. I made the cover on the other side from a pepperoni pack (with a zip lock!), which makes a neat little pocket for you to use for whatever. The topic at hand in this one was officially pleasure, but I think in retrospect it was more about discipline...wondering why it is, when I indulge, I can't fully enjoy my guilty pleasures. Ironcially, it's as self-indulgent a narrative as I've ever written. Sometimes the pleasure is the sad, moody, depressive whining about not getting everything out of life I feel I deserve. Ha! Take that one to the bank Dr. Freud!

I had a hard time letting this one go. I sold this scene to a cool dude who bought it as a gift for his wife, who's a gamer. I liked him a lot, AND I relished the idea that a real deal Gamer might read my ideas about Reality the Gaming Community, AND he paid good money for it, but DAMN! This was one of my favorite books!
