My First Chip Bag Book (sold)

June 8th - Book Eleven: This book is what happened at the end of a long day of hiking, trash bag packing, and bookmaking...and I eat a bag of chips and homemade salsa after dark. I must have felt guilty for eating the last of my ration of chips, or something, and decided to crank up my production wheels for a work scene before bed. Not only was this my first book featuring a chip bag, it's also the first book I used a bag with one of those "freshlock zippers." Bags of this sort have become a routine theme in my bookmaking adventures. I think they're great! I can't count how many times I wish I had a place to store my notepad and pen when I was reading! One of the big downsides of this scene was my handwriting. It was terrible, as it tends to be...

PROPS, material costs: $10.18 + (STORYTIME, actual time worked: 3hrs 18min x THE EXCHANGE RATE, based on federal minimum wage: $7.25) = $34.11

This, one of my original pioneering efforts, was sold October 3rd 2015 at the Affordable Arts Festival to Maureen. It made me happy to know that Maureen chose My First Chip Bag Book without any suggestive salesmanship on my part. This was a good production scene and I like to think that Maureen's as happy with her purchase as I am.

Thanks Maureen!
