The first book I made at Bumpershoot 2013 began with a stroll around my settings a few moments after they released the public upon the grounds. In no time I found a trash can with a brand new Bumpershoot magazine toss away by some information-hating man or woman or space alien who took the magazine in one scene, only to throw it away in the next. I couldn't have been more happier. I've wanted to cover one of my books in some manor of newspaper for some time. I mean, in this age of internet information: what does one do with a newspaper?
In the days that followed, I did my best to sell this book. I gave it the best spot in Our Home and often referenced it, but people weren't as interested in it as they were my other bookmaking adventures. My guess is that people are like me--constantly torn between past and future moments--completely unable to catch up to the present when it presents itself. If I'm right, then this one will be a big hit at Wordstock 2013 because it's a fine book with an interesting production scene.
