Wednesday June 22nd - Book 26 - With my supply of boxes from Wallowa County finally exhausted, I had to figure a way to get more trash to make book covers from. God knows I wasn't going to make covers out of moss, or ferns, or chop down one of the mighty old growth trees in my backyard and bust it up in thin, foldable rectangles. This production scene marks the use of my first, ever dumpster dived props. Now that's what I call proper, worthwhile training.
PROP COSTS: $9.80 + (STORYTIME WORKED: 2hrs 40min x OUR EXCHANGE RATE (based on fed minimum wage): $7.25) = $29.13
This book was sold to a thoughtful, kind young woman who stopped by Our Home at the Oregon Convention Center not once, but twice: Wordstock 2012 and 2013. She spent more time selecting a book than anyone that weekend, and I was glad she liked this one! It was my First Dumpster Dive!
