Tuesday July, 19th 2011 - Book 67 - I found the cover to this book a few moments before I pulled out of the Capri Motel in Walla Walla at the tail end of my romantic adventure there with Emily. I enjoyed my time with her so much I didn't spend enough time replenishing my supply of salvaged bookmaking props. The pickings at the Capri were slim. I almost didn't use this one. It still had taco greese and cheese on it. Oh well. I think it turned out pretty good. I enjoyed making it by candlelight in the cave of my cabin just before I climbed up to my loft to feast on a packet of top ramen and read my former co-worker's book, Letters to Henry, which was uplifting and well worth my time.
PROP COSTS: $10.10 + (STORYTIME WORKED: 3hrs x OUR EXCHANGE RATE (based on fed minimum wage): $7.25) = $31.85
This book now belongs to a fun young lady who visited my booth at Bumpershoot 2013. I shit you not, she walked in and asked, "Do you have any books with tacos on them?" After I stopped laughing, I showed her this book. After she stopped laughing, she showed me her tattoo. She has a taco with the word TACO tattooed on her ankle. Wow! Now how's that for good target marketing! Beat that Nike!
