Wednesday July 20th 2011 - Book 68 - I make a lot of book covers from Sysco, National Food Corporation, and Food Services of American boxes because they're like mosquitoes in the wood, everywhere. I made this one (with a handle!) out of a "Eggsta" liquid egg product box. You'd think that for the money you pay in nice restaurants that you won't be buying liquid egg anything, but the proof of cheap products are there in the dumpster. It pains me to even work in a kitchen that supports crap of this kind, but that's life. In any case, I had fun musing over the mystery "Eggstra" product in this production scene. I'll probably get sued for this one someday. I really dislike the National Food Corporation.
PROP COSTS: $10.30 + (STORYTIME WORKED: 2hrs 33min x OUR EXCHANGE RATE (based on fed minimum wage): $7.25) = $28.79
This book now belongs to one of the three friends who visited my booth at Bumpershoot 2013 and all bought books. The nice guy who bought this one was jacked about the handle. Thanks for your support man!
