Sunday, September 4th 2011 - Book 108 - It was a beautiful, sunny day in the Middle Fork Canyon, and I'd given Bob until noon to show up, honk his horn, and activate my Human Pack Mule Character. I made this one while I was waiting, eager for twelve o' clock to roll around without a honk! so I could activate my bookmaking plot to drink my last five beers on the shore of the Middle Fork River and make The River Book.
I made this cover from a Toastmaster box I salvaged, way back, in my first dumpster-diving scene at Oxford Suites in Gladstone. I tried to make it look a little better by adding some multi-colored yarn in with the nylon, but the yarn broke many times...And I quote, "I passed this box up more times than I can count. It's ugly as hell, but it's yours!"
