Roger's the Man! (sold)

Monday, September 5th 2011 - Book 110 - When I hiked up to the bench the first thing Archer said was, "Roger's the man!" Finally, after weeks of fighting our "napping" compressor, Roger the Hiking Mechanic had fixed it. Archer was very jacked about this fact, because it meant that he could get back to doing some serious drilling and blasting, two things he loves to do almost as much as finding "The Purple" hidden like dwarf treasure in the granite landscape of Spruce. I hiked up to the compressor to find it still mostly in parts with trash and oil spilled everywhere. The clean up inspired me to use the ATF transmission fluid box and an oily jackhammer hose I found there for this work scene.

Either good books naturally find good people, or there are a lot of good people in the world. I don't know. But I do know that I love this book and the wonder-filled lady who bought it (October 3rd at the Affordable Arts Festival) was a great match for a scene that was inspired by truly adventurous souls like Roger and Archer. She returned to our booth twice, and both times she was open, sharing, and generally fun to be around. Here's hoping "Roger's the Man!" lives up to her expectations.
